Welcome to my website!

I am Kyuyoung (people simply call me "Kyu"), a finance Ph.D. candidate at the University of Kentucky where I have taught investment analysis and corporate finance. 

My primary research interests revolve around empirical corporate finance with a particular focus on firm debt structure decisions, such as the impact of hedging on the choice between secured and unsecured debt and how stock price informativeness affects corporate debt heterogeneity. Additionally, I am a teacher with a passion for education, recognized by the nomination for the Gatton Teaching Excellence award and high student evaluation scores.

I will be on the 2023-2024 finance academic job market.
